Don’t read it if you’re fearful

The 3:00 AM Rule

By Mudasir Hakeemi Published about 21 hours ago 1 min read

A university student named Samir lived alone in a small apartment while studying.

One evening his friend came over and told him a strange rule:

“If you ever wake up at 3:00 AM, don’t look at the mirror, don’t open the door, and never look under your bed.”

Samir laughed.

“That sounds like something kids say to scare each other.”

His friend only replied quietly:

“Just… remember the rule.”

That night Samir went to sleep normally.

Suddenly he woke up.

The room was completely silent.

He checked his phone.

3:00 AM.

He remembered the rule and smirked.

“People really believe this?”

Then he heard something.

Tap… tap… tap…

It was coming from the mirror across the room.

Samir stared at it.

The tapping stopped.

He walked closer to the mirror.

His reflection stared back at him normally.

Nothing strange.

He shook his head and turned away.

Then suddenly—

Tap… tap… tap…

But this time the sound was coming from inside the mirror.

Samir froze.

Slowly… his reflection began to move.

But Samir wasn’t moving.

The reflection slowly lifted its hand and pointed…

Down.

Toward the floor beside the bed.

Samir’s heart started racing.

Because now he heard another sound.

Scratch… scratch… scratch…

From under the bed.

His friend’s rule suddenly came back to his mind:

Never look under the bed.

But fear mixed with curiosity.

Slowly… he knelt down.

And looked underneath.

There was nothing there.

Samir sighed with relief and stood up.

Then he slowly turned toward the mirror again.

His reflection was gone.

Instead…

Something else was standing in the mirror.

Something that looked exactly like Samir.

But it was smiling.

And Samir wasn’t.

Then the thing in the mirror whispered:

“Thanks for checking under the bed…”

“…now I know there’s room for you.”

The next morning, Samir’s apartment was empty.

But neighbors said they still saw someone who looked exactly like him living there.

The strange thing?

They say that person never uses the mirror.
