Whether it’s raw strength, energy projection, cosmic awareness, or sheer invulnerability, this ranking breaks down fifteen of Marvel’s most powerful characters — based entirely on their comic versions.

15. Vision

A synthetic being created with vibranium and powered by the Mind Stone (and later, other comic sources), Vision is durable and deadly, with density control, flight, and energy projection. He’s a serious Avenger-tier powerhouse — but still vulnerable to stronger bricks and energy manipulators.

14. Nova

With the full power of the Nova Force and Worldmind backing him, Richard Rider is a planetary-level threat. He’s tanked black holes and held his own against Annihilus. But among the Marvel cosmic elite, he’s mid-tier.

13. Captain Marvel

With flight, super strength, and energy absorption that boosts her attacks, Carol Danvers is an absolute unit in combat. She’s clashed with heavyweights like Iron Man and Hulk, but even in her Binary form, she’s still outclassed by cosmic-tier beings.

12. Ikaris

As one of the most powerful Eternals, Ikaris has flight, energy projection, immortality, and near Superman-level strength. He’s an apex Eternal, but his power ceiling caps just below Marvel’s higher-end cosmic players.

11. Hercules

The strongest Olympian god in Marvel lore, Hercules has feats on par with Thor, including pulling entire islands and overpowering cosmic foes. His durability and raw might put him above most physical combatants, even if he’s not the most strategic.

10. Hulk

The angrier he gets, the stronger he gets — and that strength has nearly no upper limit. From World War Hulk to Immortal Hulk, Bruce has hit multiversal-level strength and healing, but he lacks the speed or versatility to beat true energy wielders and reality manipulators.

9. Gladiator

The leader of the Shi’ar Imperial Guard, Gladiator’s power is literally fueled by his confidence. At full belief in himself, he’s matched Thor and Nova and shattered planets with his strikes. He’s speed-blitzed opponents before they could react — and when he’s “on,” few can touch him.

8. Beta Ray Bill

A being worthy of wielding Mjolnir — and later, his own hammer, Stormbreaker. Bill has gone toe-to-toe with Thor on multiple occasions and faced down Galactus-tier threats. His alien physiology plus god-tier power makes him one of the most respected cosmic warriors.

7. Hyperion

Marvel’s answer to Superman, Hyperion boasts vast strength, atomic vision, and flight. He’s taken on the Hulk, Thor, and entire teams — and won. Multiple versions exist, but in most incarnations, he’s a planet-busting brawler with little restraint.

6. Quasar

Wielder of the Quantum Bands, Quasar controls energy on a fundamental level. He’s contained cosmic entities, warped dimensions, and taken on Annihilus’ forces. His mastery of quantum constructs makes him a defensive and offensive powerhouse.

5. Adam Warlock

An artificial being tied deeply to the Soul Stone and cosmic balance. Warlock regularly tangles with Thanos, rewrites souls, and ascends to near-godhood during Infinity-level events. His intellect and mysticism combine for one of the most dangerous power sets in Marvel lore.

4. Thor

The God of Thunder has wielded Mjolnir, Stormbreaker, and even the Odinforce. With centuries of combat experience and enough raw strength to challenge Celestials, Thor is both a warrior and a cosmic entity. Few can outlast him — even fewer can stop him.

3. Blue Marvel

An antimatter reactor in human form. Blue Marvel has punched through dimensional barriers, tanked nukes, and fought Sentry to a standstill. One of Marvel’s most underrated — and truly top-tier — powerhouses with intellect and physicality to match.

2. Sentry

The man with “the power of a million exploding suns.” Sentry can regenerate from nothing, rip beings in half (RIP Ares), and warp reality when The Void takes over. His only limit is his sanity — when stable, he’s near-unstoppable.

1. Silver Surfer

Powered by the Power Cosmic, Norrin Radd is faster than light, near-invulnerable, and can manipulate matter and energy on a universal scale. He’s fought Galactus, tanked supernovas, and reshaped planets. The ultimate cosmic sentinel.
