Stranger Things: Tales From ´85,New Mysteries Lurk
Stranger Things: Tales From '85 premieres on April 23rd of this year

Stranger Things: Tales From '85 is an animated horror series set in the winter of 1985, starring Eleven and her friends, who seek to unravel mysteries in Hawkins, Indiana.
The Netflix animated series is the first spin-off of Stranger Things and promises to maintain the essence of this story that generated unprecedented enthusiasm among horror fans, comparable only to the series Wednesday.
When entering the world of animation, the Duffer brothers, creators of Stranger Things, saw an opportunity to expand their creativity. From the beginning, they were drawn to the aesthetics of 1980s animation, which has allowed them to tell stories that enrich their universe without altering the main plot.
The series uses the animated format to offer new possibilities. By foregoing the usual appearance of actors, the characters develop in a different visual context. This change provides unexpected twists in the plot by introducing new monsters and challenges in Hawkins.
With the arrival of Nikki, a new character with bright pink hair, the difficulty of the situations increases. In this way, both longtime fans and new viewers will enjoy an exciting journey full of adventures, as the complexities of the Upside Down continue to increase.
If this horror tv series becomes a big hit, Netflix may consider further expanding the world of Stranger Things through animation. This would allow for the exploration of alternative stories about secondary characters or parallel narratives, adding new dimensions to the world of Hawkins.
Stranger Things: Tales of '85 is an animated project that enriches the story of Hawkins and relates directly to important events already known to fans of the series. This initiative acts as a narrative link between the second and third seasons of the original series. The story takes place in the winter of 1985, a significant moment in the timeline, when the characters had already dealt with several paranormal problems.
A cult series that expands
There are few productions that have managed to provoke a social phenomenon. Set in the eighties, Stranger Things tells the story of a group of friends who, from the margins of a small American town, face the arrival of an alternative world and the sinister creatures that populate it.
As the plot progresses, it is discovered that this world, or more precisely the Upside Down, is not only linked to an evil that arises from the supernatural, but from this very world, in particular, from a secret laboratory inspired by American conspiracy theories about government experiments conducted during the Cold War, focusing on mind control, memory manipulation and the possibilities - whether real or imaginary - of modifying time and perception. In this combination of adventure, fear and science fiction, Stranger Things develops a narrative where friendship becomes a tool of resistance.
The series presents a variety of imaginaries: classic science fiction and alternative culture, along with horror, the aesthetics of the eighties and nineties, music as an emotional element and the figure of the outsider teenager as the narrative axis. He takes up symbols of an era to create a story in which nostalgia acts as both an aesthetic reference and an emotional language.
As is characteristic of the horror genre, this series creates universes with its own rules. In this case, it is about the Upside Down, the underground world that opens through a portal under Hawkins and that, like an inverted mirror, is exactly the same as the city above, but in the opposite way.
Stranger Things ingeniously addresses this aspect by presenting four dimensions that stimulate this curiosity: exploring complex and disturbing villains such as Vecna and Dr. Brenner; observing acts of violence perpetrated by monsters; experiencing body horror and facing incomprehensible threats.
