Battles No One Ever Saw

By Julie O'Hara - Author, Poet and Spiritual WarriorPublished about 15 hours ago 1 min read

Verse 1

Some of your greatest strength comes from battles no one ever saw,

The nights you bled in silence just to make it through the dawn.

You stitched yourself together in the dark where no one goes,

And carried all the wreckage like a secret no one knows.

Chorus

You don’t speak about the breakdowns or the nights you nearly fell,

You just walk like someone forged in fire, tempered by your hell.

The world sees your steady hands, but not the price they cost,

Some of your greatest strength comes from battles no one ever saw.

The battles no one ever saw.

Verse 2

You’ve stood inside the ruins of a life you had to burn,

Learned the kind of lessons no one wants and no one earns.

You clawed your way through shadows that would swallow weaker souls,

And rose up from the ashes with a heart that never folds.

Chorus

You don’t speak about the breakdowns or the nights you nearly fell,

You just walk like someone forged in fire, tempered by your hell.

The world sees your steady hands, but not the price they cost,

Some of your greatest strength comes from battles no one ever saw.

The battles no one ever saw.

Bridge

You’re the kind of soul that rises when the night is far too long,

The kind that keeps on breathing when the world has done you wrong.

Chorus

You don’t speak about the breakdowns or the nights you nearly fell,

You just walk like someone forged in fire, tempered by your hell.

The world sees your steady hands, but not the price they cost,

Some of your greatest strength comes from battles no one ever saw.

The battles no one ever saw.
