A Poem About Creating A Poem

Introduction
This idea came into my head to build a poem about the parts that we can use to create a poem. I thought about a reverse nonet, but what I am using is several bits of poetic formats starting with an introductory quatrain, though I wanted that to be a single line but the nature of what I needed to say required some details, so this will be very much a mish mash of forms but I will maintain eight syllables a line, and throw in some rhymes.
Even when I write Freeform, I still make it difficult for myself.
I don't know how this will end, and it may be a complete train wreck, but you know that I have to try it.
The music is "Build" By The Housemartins

A Letter Can Be Part Of A Word
A Word Can Then Build A Sentence
What Happens Next Is Not Absurd
We Can Build Such Sense And Nonsense
π§±ποΈπ§±
That Line Then Becomes A Singlet
π§±ποΈπ§±
Add One More Line For More Detail
And Then You Now Have A Couplet
π§±ποΈπ§±
Do Not Stop There, You Cannot Fail
Another Line In This Construct
We've Now In Our Hand A Tercet
π§±ποΈπ§±
Now We Are Back We We Started
And Yes, We Are Here Once Again
So Have My Senses Departed?
For Me To Create This Quatrain

Although I Could Go Much Further
I Will Check Myself And Abstain
From Me You'll Get No More Blather
I'll Finish Off With This Quatrain
Thanks For Reading. I Am Flattered

What a clever and playful construction of form and function! Watching each poetic unit stack into the next felt like building with linguistic LEGO bricksβsatisfying, rhythmic, and full of charm. I especially loved the nod to poetic structure without losing any of your signature wit. And that Housemartins reference? Chefβs kiss. You made poetry about poetry actually funβand thatβs no small feat!
Those older formats have given rise to a new one from you! Nice blend!
Great work and this would be great for a poetry class.
