COMPLICITY

Poetry

By Ilya BaranovPublished about a year ago 1 min read

It is not because we are united that we should be equal.

It's not because I love you every day, that it should be the same way.

It's not because I chose you, that you're more special.

And how to explain to the world what makes you incomparable?

If only in me you are inexplicable!

It's not by kisses, or touches, or by expression.

As much as I love your heart, I also don't think it's the heart that fixed me...

It's not because you dance like an eight-year-old boy, or smile like you can't do it tomorrow. And it is not even so, because of your highly calm manner, that so recently I discovered that you could have

I don't love you for what you have, nor for what we fight to have.

I don't love you for what I want you to be one day

I love you so alone, for not being able to explain.

I love you only because I could never leave you.

I love you because I denied you to the world by leaving you in my heart.

I love you without respite, without night, without time, without awkwardness, without words, without space, without past, without past, without delay...

I love you in an Always, which I call, Now!

I love you with the conviction that I carry in my chest

A feat that grew out of insignificance

Who has matured in ignorance

And so soon we become accomplices

Of a union that does not cease

Joyful fate that closes the play.
