Could You Hold Me One More Time Before You Go

Just so I can remember the sound of your heart beat

Could You Hold Me One More Time Before You Go

Could you hold me one more time before you go,

not to promise anything, not to lie again.

Just hold me like the past still mattered,

like love did not end in quiet excuses.

We used to breathe the same air without trying,

now every word feels borrowed and thin.

Your eyes already live somewhere else,

packing futures that do not include me.

I am not asking you to stay forever,

only to pause the leaving for one last truth.

Hold me so I remember how it felt,

before love became something we survived.

When you go, do not look back,

I will already be breaking in the dark.

i understand it’s over for us two,

i still love you however what will I do?

Lovely sentiment. I have been there hoping for just one last hug. In the ned it only delays the inevitable. Is George's Girl your own site? Your images are always great.
