Give the Kid Sweet Experiences

That's free in nature

The kids don’t ask

for expensive amusement parks,

carousel rides, or treats.

They want your loving presence

and for you to teach them.

It need not cost you money—

only your time,

which should be available,

for they are your greatest purpose

once you are a parent.

They will be more than happy

if, after Sunday homemade lunch,

you take them

to the nearby duck pond.

Show them the mallards and coots,

geese and cormorants.

Show them the turtles

emerging from brumation,

the mistletoe on sycamore,

the shamrock on the lawn,

the pinecone and dandelion,

the honeybee on Indian hawthorn.

There’s so much more

to share with a young brains.

These sweet experiences

will be their treasures

as they graduate into adulthood.

Exactly, kids just want to spend time with you, and one does not need a lot of money or expensive trips or things.

This is a great reminder of the simple, priceless moments we can share with our children.
