Hope is a Deadly Game

A poem

In shadows, danced fears, silent and stark,

where courage met whispers of the dark.

Within the storm, a silent battle waged

strength and hope in trembling hearts engaged.

A ribbon weaved in tales of grief and pain,

a silent plea that we may break the chain.

With every tear, a story softly told,

of bravery and grace, both young and old.

During the struggle, seeds of hope bloom,

a testament to courage in gloom.

In unity, we stand, hearts intertwined,

facing what was once confined.

Through trials, resilience shall ignite,

a beacon shining in the darkest night.

With love as armor, we march hand in hand,

defying the odds, we make our final stand.

In every battle fought, a hero found,

within those depths, a strength profound.

Cancer upon flesh, cells bound,

taken too soon, never again around.

Hope is a deadly game as cancer pushes,

rippling along inside of us, souls of ashes.
