Detail From Video

Introduction

A villanelle of standing strong against those who are abusive to us, I think this is a sort of analogy to what happened in the UK election on Thursday, July 4th which freed us from a bunch of cruel, mendacious, lying racist bullies,

The music is "Get Up, Stand Up" by Bob Marley

You Think You Destroyed Me, That's Not True

You Hurt So Many With Spite And Lies

I Am So Proud That I'm Not Like You

You Spread Your Hateful, Vile Point Of View

Believed By Many Who Closed Their Eyes

You Think You Destroyed Me, That's Not True

I Stand Strong With All The Ones That Knew

Of Your Mendacious Tales, Your Disguise

I Am So Proud That I'm Not Like You

I Feel Strong And Good, And I Am Through

With All The Hateful Things You Devised

You Think You Destroyed Me, That's Not True

Standing With My Friends, Our Skies Are Blue

Building A Future, That's No Surprise

I Am So Proud That I'm Not Like You

We Are The Many, You Are The Few

Never Again Will We Be Unwise

You Think You Destroyed Me, That's Not True

I Am So Proud That I'm Not Like You

I just watched a documentary/youtube where a young black 23 year old beat the 'same old' for mayor of London independents, with the votes of young people who felt un-represented. It is certainly time for a world shake-up. Everyone (except the rich) is underrepresented...change is due us all. Right on brother!

  • The Swedish government was leaning that way until the EU elections; we are all cheering for our UK friends after the results of the election there. Bloody racist is right, but like here and US those creeps linger like unseen crevasses in a dark cave. So, let's enjoy the wins and hang on for something better!
