Love can be warm as the sun or icy like a turbulent sea
Icy Waters By George’s Girl
That’s my tears frozen from my deepest fears,
Never melting; your heart is oh so cold.
I thought you would love me till I was old.
Never a love before turned my heart to ice,
Yet I am frozen in a cake's bittersweet slice.
I loved you when the sun shined so warm,
The days when I thought I was free from harm.
Yet oh, too soon, you shattered my very soul;
I am just a prisoner with no hope of parole.

I've been writing poetry since the age of 10. With pen in hand, I wander the realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture you ❤️#Marie381UkWrites
