Let It Flow
Prompt: wellness
a creeping feeling engulfed my body
muscles heavy but elastic
mysterious beat ramping up slowly
evocative and animastic
I pump myself out of the deep pocket
movements starting large and drastic
building momentum step-by-step
flinging myself into flying gymnastics
letting friction create heat
melting like neon glitter plastic
melding with the sprinkling of notes
tripping the light fantastic
blasting symphony of emotions
bold and hauntingly bombastic
highs and lows, every shade and hue
mixing in a churn, their aura orgiastic
bathed in the pulsating light
of sounds resonant and monastic
getting carried away in the flow of sound
alternating between the calm and spastic
accepting gravity’s natural critique
not ignoring it with comments sarcastic
always adding to the flow, billowing
clouding up like ash, pyroclastic
burning myself out, raining down
settling in for a rest, joyful and enthusiastic
words pouring out of my deflating form
more stream of consciousness, less scholastic
ejecting and naming every burden
stripping off thoughts and lies, iconoclastic
starting all over, doing it again tomorrow
