Love shattered like a glass heart
My pulse, a glass heart
broken into silent shards.
Each beat cuts deeper,
empty echoes fill the cracks
Love slipped through fingers,
like dust in hollow palms.
The weight of nothing
presses where hope used to live.
Words dissolve,
no glue to hold the pieces,
Just cold fragments
scattered in the dark.
You left,
and everything shattered.
I am glass,
I am gone.
Love shattered like a glass heart.

You have such a way with words. You're an incredible writer :)
WELL DONE, Marie
Very nice, Marie.
What a sad poem this one is and it actually hurts.
Darkly beautiful poetry
This reads like a whisper from the aftermath—fragile, sharp, and echoing with loss. “Each beat cuts deeper” and “the weight of nothing” hit with quiet devastation. You captured the stillness of heartbreak perfectly.
