New Year’s Resolution What Is Yours?

Another year stands quietly at the door,

asking what I will carry, what I will leave behind.

The world keeps moving whether I promise or not,

time never waits for certainty or fear.

So I choose smaller things that feel like truth,

to eat with care, to listen to my body again.

To walk a little further than I did yesterday,

and let fresh air untangle the weight in my chest.

No grand vows written in impossible ink,

just kinder habits stitched into ordinary days.

So tell me as the calendar turns and breath resets,

what is your resolution, mine is to eat healthy and walk more.

To tell the truth I do not make resolutions anymore, but if I did, I think I just try to be a little bit more organized in my writing and art. Happy New Year, Miss Marie!

No grand vows written in impossible ink, just kinder habits stitched into ordinary days. Loved it. They are do-able. I will keep doing what I did. No bad habits that I would like to ditch. May be sleeping late is one, but needed for solitude, reading and inspiration.
