Serendipity — what a lovely word,
In English, it's much-admired.
It means a happy experience,
found purely, by chance.
It makes the day, when we encounter,
offering excitement and pleasure.
I’ve been lucky to witness many:
a mola mola in the Pacific ocean,
snowplant under the pines,
a hummingbird nest on an oak,
marine fossils on rocks
a rattlesnake behind Boston vines,
a spring shower of hailstones,
a Garibaldi with a fisherman,
a marmot in the mountain,
mistletoe clump on sycamore,
and so many more.
A rainbow from my porch
or a satellite launch.
serendipity is blessings,
like winning lottery,
but I won’t dismiss it,
as being at the right place,
right time, getting mere lucky.
It’s often the deserving rewards,
of curiosity and mindfulness.
When you are curious and observant,
spectacles unfold galore,
So, cultivate this beautiful trait.

Good job and it is a beautiful word to use. I guess mine would be every time I get to view a rainbow or see hummingbirds feeding.
