What to capture first?
Vibrance of a life well lived.
Dark streaming hair and snapping brown eyes.
Poise and confidence sexy.
Or the wicked gleam of humor,
accompanied by a sly smile.
Yet behind that look, a sharp mind that
discerns details, remaining curious and captivated
by deeper conversation, and histories’ cutting edges.
Being because life carves out edges that scrape the heart
Leaving under the bedazzle deeper,
a caring heart and conscience
that loves with fierceness.
Before the light is gone, captured on the canvas
Words almost inadequate better sketched.
