Sleep Will Not Come

My mind won't turn off

By George’s Girl 2026 Published about a year ago 1 min read
Eyes wide open when they should be in slumber

Why can’t I sleep, I can hear my own sighs?

Thoughts swirl like clouds in the darkened skies.

The night whispers, “Just try to get some sleep

But worries keep dancing, late hours I keep

Tick-tock of the clock, all chances missed,

Dreams slip away as I toss and twist.

Oh, restless night, grant me some peace,

tossing and turning now, please give me release.

Some can close their eye and the instantly go

Not me, in bed I worry about everything you know

Just this one night let all worries cease

I want to go and dream in comfortable peace

Close your senses off, relax, start with your head neck etc, hopefully fall asleep before the toes.
