Solitude

By Anita Dotts

By Anita DottsPublished 2 months ago 1 min read

After the new fallen snow

no footprints mar the perfection

of a field of white or tree laden branches

that bend bearing the weight.

Roof eaves hand glistening icicles

dripping dewdrops as temperatures rise.

The air mists as you breathe in

drawing the cold, crips air of morning

filling your lungs with winter

shining under a cloudless blue sky.
