Of course, 2026 equals blazing forward, says the horse, but beware: know when to rein it in!

On Tuesday, February 17, 2026, Wood Snake passes the baton to Fire Horse.

Chinese New Year 🎇

Worldwide celebrations; culturally appropriate, fireworks, parades, collective mindsets, and diverse practices

Slow motion, 2025 energy dwindles. Woodland snake's transition, shedding skin, earth's belly crawler, winding vines with utmost patience--an era ends.

Pick-it-up and pack-it-up moment: When Fire Horse is anointed

Quick out of the gates: an altered vision

Racing forward; momentum, progress, pursuing goals, picking up the pace, loud and proud

Slowwww-mooo NO MORE

Quick changes, terrain metamorphoses before one's eyes

Decisions made fast on the feet, hoofbeats pounding like heartbeats

Brilliance and passion ignited

Firedancer forward toward brighter days ahead

Predictions ❤‍🔥❤‍🔥❤‍🔥

Radical changes: new ventures, ideals, career excellence, newfound confidence, ambition, new creations, independence, relevance, tech advances, taking chances, self-found freedom, new paths, identities, and opportunities

But Beware of ⚡⚡⚡

Burnout from the turnout

Turn it up too much, and fire becomes chaos

Intuition needs nutrition

Keep all eyes open

Sound decisions will always precede speed

Saddled up and ready to go without fact-checking, without mindfulness, without research, without focus, is much like a negative hocus pocus

Poof, and it's all gone 🪄

The magick becomes mayhem when balance is amiss

Ride with revere but remain crystal clear: fire means power, and sometimes the reins are key

Pull-it-in-prompts are your support

Like water leading you to drink- rest and rethink 🌊

The race isn't over; it's hardly begun

2026 speaks of fire plenty, but when reduced equals one (2+0+2+6=10)

One, it starts with YOU

Chinese New Year, accrue:

Blazing beginnings and your share of winnings, torch-lit moments and dynamic progress

Just don't forget to add water

Blues and greens to fire hues

Flowing focus, oft peruse

To rein in balance, keep things steady

Are you ready?

-Mane whipping and whinnying, straight from the fire horse's mouth 🐎

...

Author's note: For my entry, I drew attention to the Fire Horse spiritual meaning for 2026. Chinese New Year will introduce an energy unlike 2025, requiring a maintained balance for optimal results.

I love horses and Chinese customs. A great pick-me-up for the new year.

💖I felt an immediate sense of speed in your choice of diction when you described the Wood Snake passing the baton to the Fire Horse. Your use of asyndeton made me feel the horse's gallop; I could take on its speed and its audacious personality, loud and proud. 💖The middle of this masterpiece is where I found even more value. You didn't just focus on the speed; you provided a sobering warning about where things could go wrong. Your use of anaphora hammered home the ridiculousness of being unprepared.

Marilyn, your Fire Horse energy leaps off the page, I love how you channel the spirit of 2026 into both vision and caution it feels like I’m riding alongside you, mane whipping, heart racing. Thank you for guiding us through the year with such passion and care.

Reading “Straight from the Fire Horse’s Mouth” feels like listening to someone speak without filters there’s a raw honesty that makes the poem hit harder than expected.

Congrats on the Top Story! Your post is super high-energy but still hits home on the importance of being mindful. That line about speed only coming after making the right calls really stuck with me—definitely worth a second read.

  • Hugs to being top story. Happy Chinese New Years. BLESSINGS to you. Wonderful news.
