Sumi-e Art on Cardboard
Creativity and frugality joined hands

The board came as simple packaging
in a utensils box.
For me, everything is art surface.
I love the of Japanese sumi-e
relaxing, healing, meaningful,
rich with life philosophy and wisdom.
So, I tried painting with watercolor.
Mountains, cherry, sun,
plum, chrysanthemum, moon,
magnolia, camellia, bamboo,
waterfall, cat, pine,
koi, lotus, crane,
tea, camellia, persimmon.
Now it hangs on our foyer wall,
a small symbol, of my love for art
and my admiration for frugality.
Indeed, what we call waste,
and dump in bin,
is just our limitation to
see it's worth.
Be appreciative, imaginative,
creative, and see them
turn into pieces of aesthetics.
