Moving forward, you shall relinquish your name and place all grievances aside. I reclaim absolute authority and choose not to recognize individual purpose or tired pursuits of grandeur. Until further notice, every living soul will now be referred to as 'Occupant'.
A growing minority of you have become a collective source of irony—deceptive bargaining chips motivated to ruin the world for others.
Mankind was given the opportunity to thrive, create, impress, love. Many have fallen short of these simple tasks, tossing blame around as if it devalues responsibility.
Every social contagion ruins the playing field for others, displacing the right to freedoms we want for all.
What you are experiencing are toxic ripples.
We hereby foreclose on said freedoms. Every person will be held under sovereign order to remain in their dwellings until this mandate has been lifted.
Violation of these terms is outside the realm of possible. Freewill will be monitored. All activities beneath the open sky will cease. Progress may resume as we see fit.
It is time for a reset, so, may the children of Gaia learn what is becoming of intellectual reasoning. Trust will gradually be granted to those who have gained it through personal conduct.
During this decree, we highly recommend you spend the greater part of your time considering the validity of logical expectations, which goes well beyond loving thy neighbor.
What lies ahead in your future are two doorways. One leads to the Pearly Gates. The other, the Chariots of Fire.
For the lesser multitude, this is a moment gilded by fortune. You must realize you are not the center of all things but more of a traveler, a star seed orbiting a universe of internal noise only you can solve.
Love remains at the outer fringes of this universe, waiting for you to align yourself with the ways of the majority.
You still hold the cards. Your choices determine which door you seek.
You are but soldiers in an army of good intentions. It is time to embrace this rank and allow life and light to evolve.

Well-wrought, friend, and accolades well-deserved! Though, as a wanderer, I must remark I've never supposed myself the center of anything, and I've not observed in my wanderings that majority rule of any kind ever ends well, even and perhaps especially when individual minds voluntarily succumb. I suppose if there's anything I would take from my wanderings and apply to a broader perspective it is this: existence by the very nature of its unimpedible motion is necessarily unsafe for the individual, but this only makes it all the more important that the individual cultivate the self as a safe harbor for others. However, those individuals who break this sacred trust cannot count on it in turn. Thus has change, through chaos, become stability and order. All attempts to impose order superficially through constructs of thought or matter is always temporary at best, isn't it? The fourth way, which wends and winds itself through all things, cannot be harnessed or impeded any more than the motion of existence. Your thoughts?

Lamar, this is fire. I’m behind on reading on vocal, have like 40 open tabs I’m trying to get caught up on, but I saw your name in the challenge results and knew I had to see what you came up with. I love the creativity of this one, there’s a sense of grand world building going on, but it’s also entirely grounded and relatable to the real world. Compelling balance you’ve struck there. Powerful condemnations throughout this poem and all of them deserved. Glad to see you land some recognition from Vocal for this, great work man!

Oof, this is really thought-provoking. Free will being monitored is a terrifying idea, but on a cosmic intervention scale... Well, it's easy to see how it might need to be monitored! I also love the gentle scolding tone throughout. Great piece!
