When the spark is greater than the fire

Glances from you make me swoon
I didn’t understand at first
I thought I’d be immune
~
I was sweating like a monsoon
I thought my heart would burst
It was blowing up like a balloon
~
Glances from you made me swoon
In you I was immersed
I knew it would be over soon
~
I tried my best to attune
But it turned for the worst
I fell back to stare at the moon
~
The whole thing felt like a cartoon
Was it me who was cursed
Or was it this goon
~
In your arms I came to ruin
Almost like it was rehearsed
Now all I wanted was the moon
And to dance to a new tune

It's a great take for the challenge, I love the last line. It's powerful and gives so much hope for starting over, no matter what.
