The Raven’s Curse

This bird is beautiful yet some fear it

The Raven’s Curse

The raven circles.

One eye pale,

One eye black.

It sees all.

It lands,

Where the dying crawl.

Its shadow presses,

The heart falls still.

No prayer rises.

No hope lingers.

The curse takes root,

With every beat of its wings.

Victims marked,

By silence first.

The world grows heavy.

Their breath slows.

The raven whispers.

No one hears.

The words rot deep,

Under the skin.

Its gaze burns holes,

Into the soul.

The body trembles,

Then turns cold.

Those who have seen,

Do not return.

Their names vanish.

Their graves stay bare.

The bird feeds,

On what is unseen.

It does not leave.

It never leaves.

The dark curse waits,

For another breath.

For another name.

For another victim.
