I want to I need too but can’t by George’s Girl 2026
Eyes That Won't Sleep
Tired and worn, I lay in bed,
But sleep won’t come, it dances instead.
Thoughts swirl like leaves on a gentle breeze,
I close my eyes, but find no ease.
The night is quiet, the moon shines bright,
I wish for dreams to hold me tight.
But here I am, awake and still,
Searching for calm, a moment to chill.
So I count the stars, one by one,
Hoping for sleep before night is done.
With each gentle sigh, I wait and pray,
That soon my eyes will drift away.
