Watching Snow Moon

Let's be selenophiles

February Full Moon,

the Snow Moon

shone in the clear sky.

I worship nature

and encourage my kids,

so, we stood on the porch,

in the backyard garden,

and admired it,

basking in the illumination.

I told my children

about the Japanese ritual,

of moon-watching 'tsukimi',

what a beautiful practice.

The next full moon

is the 'Worm Moon',

and it will be a year

complete, of teaching them

all the full moon names,

from April to January:

Pink, Flower, Strawberry,

Buck, Sturgeon, Harvest,

Hunter, Beaver, Cold,

and Wolf.

I encourage all to be selenophiles,

and gaze the celestial bauble.

I enjoy looking at the night sky. It's not been warm enough for me to go outside, but I have a window by my bed that I can look out at night and see the stars and moon

You taught me a new word 'selenophiles'. Never heard this term before. Good job.
