“A diamond
is a chunk of coal
that did well under pressure.”
Diamonds are beautiful!
But it took them time to become beautiful
and this is something
we need to remember
when thinking about ourselves.
Transformation,
of any kind,
does not happen quickly or over night.
A butterfly
can take two weeks in its chrysalis
before it comes out
into the beautiful coloured butterfly
we see in our gardens every day.
Diamonds
are known for their durability and strength,
as well as
their brilliance and rarity.
A diamond
is formed deep within the Earth’s mantle,
where extreme heat and pressure
crystallize it into a specific shape.
We really are no different.
We go through difficult challenges
in our lives
and
become extremely strong.
We also become beautiful!
