We Wished on a Shooting Star
The universe delivered its magic

We Wished on a Shooting Star
We wished on a shooting star
you held my hand
the night air was warm
and the world felt small around us
I did not speak my wish
you did not speak yours
but I saw it in your eyes
and you saw it in mine
The star burned across the dark
fast and bright
like it was made for us alone
We did not know if it would work
but we kissed
and the moment felt certain
like it already had
Now when I see the night sky
I look for another
but there will never be one
that belongs to us
the way that one did
For I wished for your love
and now it burns in me
wild and deep
a fire that no time can cool
and no darkness can hide

I've been writing poetry since the age of 10. With pen in hand, I wander the realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture you ❤️#Marie381UkWrites
