So the shell of me watches,
while the soul of me rages,
and the shell of you mourns,
while your soul moves on,
because you never really loved me,
you just knew I was worth loving,
and the time for false loving is gone.
You were sick to your stomach when I said I would leave,
Cried your eyes to my mama when I walked out the door,
but when the fear subsided and the ledger was balanced,
what a change in demeanor and the frown you wore.
Your head's not as heavy, but mine still is,
because I meant what I said at, "I do",
From your indiscretion, to me up and leaving,
the only soul that's not hurting is you.
