Let's Play A Game

Politics shouldn't be a game while everyone's struggling and our leaders are prospering.

Playing Politics

The other day, while bored, I started playing around with ChatGPT. It’s fun, and there are things that people can use it to have a little fun with, and to help with projects. I wanted to see what I’d look like sitting at the resolute desk in the Oval Office.

It was easy, sort of like playing politics is for most people in Washington D.C. But should it be that easy?

Right now, whether you love him or hate him, there is a 34 time convicted felon, a man accused multiple times of sexual misbehavior, and former reality television star, running the country. Who could have predicted that? And how did it happen?

You probably have some friends who, every time the current regime is brought up, nearly stroke out over their views of Donald Trump! Most people have at least one or two of those Trump Derangement Syndrome suffering Democrats in their orbit! And nothing against them. They’re like that because of people like Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries playing politics.

How Do You Play Politics

One of the most recent examples of playing politics comes right from the president.

Trump insinuating he won’t sign any legislation until the Save Act is passed is an example of playing politics. No longer is he the antithesis of a politician. He’s started showing the signs of a seasoned politician, putting agendas before the business of the country.

The response is also playing politics. It’s like a tennis match. As Schumer promises that the Senate won’t pass the Save Act, no matter what, he’s playing politics. They’ve been playing it since the idea came up.

At the end of the day, the Save Act, should keep anybody who’s a non-citizen from voting.

No, don’t start yelling that non-citizens don’t vote. There’s a case of a man facing charges as an illegal immigrant and he allegedly voted in five presidential elections. While that’s just one case, there are doubtlessly many others.

Past the save act, there’s the never ending case of congressional representatives lying to the cameras. A great example of playing politics, and ruining their own credibility. When seasoned politicians are telling the cameras things that blatantly aren’t true, they should be pulled aside and reminded, that’s not working anymore.

A great example of politicians lying is when they argue that military actions on foreign soil are illegal without congressional authorization. They’re not. Going backwards in time, it’s never worked that way.

Yes, Barrack Obama used the military on multiple occasions without congressional approval. So did Bush, Clinton, and Biden. But that didn’t stop our leadership, every time Trump has used the military, from calling it an illegal war.

Military action doesn’t mean actual war. And the constitution allows for a limited use of the military by the president, as long as it’s disclosed within the prescribed timeframe after. Sure, it’s an often debated subject, but when Congress let’s one president use it at his whim and then complains when another uses it at theirs, it’s simply playing politics.

From banking regulations to the price of oil, from your healthcare to the price of groceries, the constant playing at politics has become the commonplace of Washington D.C., and every politician from both sides. It’s become grueling and tedious to feel the effects of, particularly as we watch the people doing it getting unexplainably rich, while Americans are being left behind by that dreaded 1%.

Instead of playing politics, should there not be one singular message and mission for the American people. To better our daily lives, to keep ourselves and our neighbors safe, and for our country to make the American dream achievable to Americans. But in this era, we have foreign representatives involved in sketchier and sketchier politics, scandals, and money grabs, that are easily spotted when they’re looked for. The liberal caucus makes it look like nobody from their side cares about much other than rebellion and getting rich. Their the pot stirrers. And the older Democrats are running on pure hate.

Republicans are running on pure power. They have it, they don’t want to lose it, and their messiah seems to be able to beat any odds thrown at him.

It’s game point, and they’re still playing politics. Where the Earth and all of us end up depends on who wins!

In a country where somebody stealing something small is killed publicly, and somebody with endless crimes of high degrees, is given the highest Office. It’s so pathetic.
