La La Land
Okay…so this movie came out when I was in high school and I hated it then. It was in fact way overhyped and won far too many awards for what it was. I re-watched it recently with my best friend and I have not changed my opinion but I can now articulate my thoughts on the matter better, so here we go.

Wonderman
Wonderman is a seriously good project and the reason I broke up the reviews like this is because people are forgetting new releases too fast. Social media has fried the brain of the general public and y'alls attention spans are dust. So I drag things out to force you to think about them in a more in depth way so that they will hopefully stick in your brain longer. It's why I really think ALL shows need to be released weekly. The binge format needs to die.

Wonderman
Wonderman’s first half was truly next level for Marvel. For a company that relies so heavily on a formula and on nostalgia every time they do something different it's great, so why exactly don’t they do it more? Everyone agreed WandaVision was incredible and the response to Wonderman has been positive as well. Not sure why that wouldn’t be enough for them to continue to branch out.

Wonderman
I would love to know how many people googled “Wonderman comics”, or “Wonderman powers” after the show dropped on Disney+. They were intentionally vague and they really separated themselves from the source material. And quite frankly that was a good decision. Because as far as comic book characters go Wonderman really isn’t that impressive or interesting. But who is he in the comics? Well we know I have the answers so here we go.

Knight of the Seven Kingdoms
The first two episodes of Knight of the Seven Kingdoms were a little hard for me to get through. I don’t mind a lack of action if the character arcs are doing a decent job of carrying the story. But the main character Dunc is super annoying and extremely frustrating to watch. The only reason I am even continuing with it is because Egg is a little cutie patootie and I will power through to see his story unfold.

Wonderman
Wonderman was dropped all at once, because the powers that be have no faith in the general public, and I understand that but I think that anyone with an IQ above 10 would have been fine with a week to week release. That said the show is very intriguing so far, it's done a great job of setting things up in these first two episodes.

The Internship
We all know the worst yet most entertaining films are not the ones released in theaters but the ones quietly released on various streaming services and never acknowledged. In that vein, until the industry starts doing some wide releases, our 2026 coverage will be pulled from those obscure places.

Wonderman
Okay so Wonderman was not a series I was excited for when it was announced. And there are many reasons for this, the biggest being that without his Wanda storyline Wonderman is a boring and irrelevant character. So when the premise of the show was announced I knew it was going to be better than I initially expected. Most of the feedback I've seen from the internet is positive. The only thing that raised a red flag for me is that people were glad all at once because they didn’t think it would work week to week. So if you are releasing a show and it “wouldnt work” in its intended format then you wrote a bad show. So that is one of the things I will be assessing.

Cosmic Princess Kaguya!
I have decided that this is going to be the year I branch out more. I am going to watch more anime, more foreign language films, and I am going to rewatch less. With that, I decided to start my movie reviewing this year with Netflix's newest anime addition.

Ranking the Superhero Projects of 2025
8. Marvel Zombies This was a hot mess of nothing. The plot was barely there and honestly the animation style took you out of the story approximately every 30 seconds because everyone looked the same and no one looked like their characters. The ending was clearly rushed and undeveloped. No one thought this story out. This was not a project that anyone was passionate about, there was no thought, no love, absolutely no indication that a single person cared about what was being put out. Dead last, there was really nothing enjoyable about this movie.

Knight of the Seven Kingdoms
With the disappointment that is House of the Dragon and the let down that was the ending of Game of Thrones, I am going into The Knight of the Seven Kingdoms very cautiously. Because as we have learned with the world of Westeros, just because a show starts off good or interesting does not mean that it is going to stay that way.
