* Editor's Notes: Anything italicized is part of a series of notes I wrote during the trip that I found recently. Some pictures have been edited to preserve the privacy of everyone who went on the trip. That said they were edited by an unprofessional (me) so don't judge me too harshly for my lack of skills.

My Mind Is Blown #8. Content Warning.
Part #1 Part #2 Part #3 Part #4 Part #5 Part #6 Part #7 Final Warning: Spoilers Ahead! It has been a week since the end of not only Tolerance Is Extinction, but also the first season of the new X-Men series, X-Men '97. Yes, it has been confirmed the show will not be left on a cliffhanger, but will have at least a second season with a presently unknown premiere date. Thank goodness, because X-Men '97 is by far one of the best iterations of the X-Men to date, and no, that is not my biased opinion. Rotten Tomatoes has the show on the list of Best TV Shows for May 2024 with a 99% on the Tomatometer, surpassing its predecessor by 16%.

The Price I Pay. Top Story - May 2024. Content Warning.
Here is a link to Randy Baker's Challenge: Prompted #4 *** Joseph It smells like desperation. Actually, it smells like bleach trying to hide the smell of urine, death, and desperation permanented into the studs of my new home. Even as the perky redhead in scrubs pushes me around in my wheelchair, blathering on about the different rooms and the schedule for the week, I can see a man pouring bleach in a bucket, preparing yet another attempt to mask the bits of horrid smell still peeking through.

Hank's Monster. Content Warning.
Warning: mentions of domestic abuse and the death of a loved one. Jagged pieces of color lay on the kitchen floor -- a plate from a dinner set gifted by his parents on our wedding day and drops of my blood. I can feel Hank clutching me close to him like a child with their raggedy toy, ready to lash out at any one who tries to take it from them. He keeps repeating a tearful mantra in my ears, sounding desperate for me to hear them.

My Mind Is Blown #5. Content Warning.
Part #1 Part #2 Part #3 Part #4 Final Warning: Spoilers Ahead! Holy crap! This episode was nothing like I expected. Knowing that this is the last episode before the major three-part episode "Tolerance is Extinction," I expected things to be somber. Pretty much, I thought this episode would be a memorial of sorts to those lost during the Genosha Genocide, with a little reveal to help it transition to the next episode.

My Mind Is Blown #4. Content Warning.
Part #1 Part #2 Part #3 Final Warning: Spoilers Ahead! The X-Men weren't the only ones staring at their televisions, shocked and heartbroken about the attack on Genosha two Wednesdays (April 10) ago. The episode showed us the stakes are higher with X-Men '97 and that no one is safe.

Is It Love? (Ask Me in December)
Grace, the MFC, used to be a dancer until her mom died when she was younger (I'm thinking pre-teen, early teens). When her mom was buried, Grace buried her dancing dreams with her mom, feeling like she couldn't dance without her mom. Years pass and Grace meets Dylan, the MMC, who sparks the dream in her again, along with what feels like love.
