Victor Cassadine resurfaced this week on GENERAL HOSPITAL and kidnapped Liesl Obrecht. Charles Shaunessy is now portraying the evil genius and if he looks familiar it's because he has been in the role of Shane Donovan on and off of DAYS OF OUR LIVES since the 1980s. He was also Mr. Fine on THE NANNY. Some viewers might not be up to speed regarding the relationship between Obrecht and Victor so let's take a stroll down memory lane.

Darryl and Dwayne Hickman are classic television stars
The Hickman brothers, Darryl and Dwayne were true classic television stars although their careers took different paths. Dwayne is best remembered for having the starring role in the television series THE MANY LIVES OF DOBY GILLIS from 1959-1963 but his older sibling is not as well known. Perhaps you saw Darryl in a movie or television show and mistook him for his younger brother. Dianne Carroll shined on 'Julia', 'Dynasty and 'A Different World'
Those who enjoy retro television and classic programming should be familiar with Diane Carroll who was in 3 hit prime-time series from the 1960s through the 1990s. In her early years, the actress was in musicals that featured all-Black casts like CARMEN JONES (1954) and PORGY AND BESS (1959). In 1962, Carroll had the honor of becoming the first African American to win a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical. This was for her role in the BROADWAY musical NO STRINGS. Carroll was also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress in 1974 for CLAUDINE.

Twitter erupts over Scott and Liesl on ‘General Hospital’
On Tuesday's episode of GENERAL HOSPITAL, Scott Baldwin was thrown from a moving airplane. Spoilers have stated that he will survive but some fans obviously have not received the memo. It's possible that by the time you read this all will be well with Liesl Obrecht and her 'Liebchen' but disgruntled viewers are still serving notice to the powers that be. Victoria will soon be single and broken-hearted on THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS
Spoilers for THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS are teasing that Victoria Newman will soon have a broken heart because she is single. There is a lot going on right now with her fiance Ashland Locke and there are several ways this could all play out. Many who watch the CBS soap have been saying from day one that Locke is using Vickie in order to get back at her father. Victor stood over Ashland who was having a heart attack and demanded he sign a business contract. Although the two men seem to have made peace a number of viewers contend that Harrison's dad is out for revenge.

'General Hospital' fans have questions about Cyrus Renault
Genie Francis announced a few weeks back that she was taking the summer off from GENERAL HOSPITAL. She actually will be away from the ABC soap until fall and many viewers are questioning the storyline with her character Laura. It was revealed last week that Cyrus Renault may have ordered a hit on his brother and sister and they both now must go into protective custody. Martin as well as Mayor Collins will exit Port Charles until the threat from their disgruntled sibling is over.

Michael Mealor and Hunter King return in October to 'The Young and the Restless'
Soaps.com is reporting that Michael Mealor and Hunter King will return to THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS in October. The duo is supposed to begin taping scenes soon and this is wonderful news for Skyle fans. King and Mealor did a Podcast with SOAP OPERA DIGEST on August 20 confirming they were leaving the CBS soap. They gave no indication at that time that they were heading back into the studio to tape scenes but now 10 days later comes the news that they are.

A rare find Nancy Lee Grahn who portrays Alexis Davis on GENERAL HOSPITAL is catching a lot of flack because of how outspoken she is on certain subjects. She recently shared some interesting images on her Twitter feed that Royal watchers and GH fans might find interesting. The actress revealed that Prince Harry's wife Meghan Markle once worked on the ABC soap.
