My Top 10 Scariest Monsters in Gaming
"What in fresh hell is that?"a gamer might proclaim. For it is neither an animalNor a beast they can name. Yeah, don't worry, I won't be doing that the whole article. I've had way too many lollipops leftover from Halloween and my brain's all silly. Enough about my sugar intake, this is about monsters. Monsters that are humanoid, yet corrupted, or have limbs where they shouldn't be. Some are the resultant aberrations of human eugenics gone haywire, some are the manifestations of a character's guilt made flesh. Keep in mind that this is my personal list, so it might not align with your list of scary creatures. I'm also not being picky about whether the creatures are from horror games or non-horror games. Without further ado, let's countdown my top 10 scariest monsters in gaming.

5 Tropes We Can Always Expect in Zombie Games
Ah, everyone loves a good zombie game, though quite a few will audibly groan when they see yet another zombie game in the works from the trailers at E3. Sometimes annihilating human enemies and Eldritch monstrosities gets stale because it doesn't feel rewarding in the long run. But by thinning the zombie herd, you're doing your part to stop this infestation of shambling brain-munching dunces! Feel proud in your accomplishment, if only for a minute before the purifying nukes are released on the town.

5 Gameplay Mechanics in Horror Titles Nobody Wanted. Top Story - November 2018.
I don't get people that are so adamant about making their horror games "realistic." I know if I actually encountered a zombie hoard, they'd be already picking my sinews out of their undead teeth. When it comes to survival instincts, I am quite useless. I trip over my own feet and (actually) I seriously run into doors. I play video games to pretend that I'm not the actual embodiment of a trash bag full of mashed potatoes.

'The Handmaid's Tale' Analysis: Chapters 3-5
Link to 1st part. Chapter 3 One motif you’ll see recurring throughout the novel is Offred’s descriptive prose about Serena Joy’s garden, specifically her flowers. The Commander’s Wife dutifully dotes on her garden, which symbolizes her desperate want for a child. The flowers are her children, the only life she can fertilize and raise to adulthood. Note also of Serena Joy’s introduction, that she is the Commander’s Wife, not her own identity. This represents that even elite women of Gilead are oppressed and owned by men. Offred is reminded of how she also had a garden in the past, a way to pass time, something she isn’t permitted now.

5 Levels Everyone Loves/Hates in Horror Games
Because not all gamers are created equal in their play styles. Some of you actually like sneaking around monsters and not barreling through them like a bull in a bull shop. Yes, that made sense. What one gamer hates about a certain horror game trope, others might love and vice versa. So let's go over some of those tropes here today in classic countdown clickbait condition.

Why Are Horror Games So Horrible These Days?
Maybe I’m just reaching my final metamorphosis as an unimpressionable, desensitized, psychopathic skeptic. Or maybe the state of American politics is far more horrifying than game developers can dream up. Or maybe I’m too blinded by my blood and rust covered glasses, because as much I hope, there will never be another game as good as Silent Hill 2 and those new IPs will always be mediocre copies of Silent Hill 2.
