My One Bloody Halloween Trilogy
· I just wrote a trilogy for my short film series: One Bloody Halloween. I have to say, one is probably the best, two is better than 3 but all have their charms. Three is still noticeably the worst but that is why we write. I was able to write the scripts back-to-back. Took me a couple of hours.

Scream
The surgeon held up a mirror and Amber Freeman screamed. ''We did the best we could,'' the surgeon said. Clay, Amber's boyfriend, a beautiful, reddish blonde, rockstar type, with icy blue eyes, looked at his girlfriend through the looking glass. ''I'm hideous,'' Amber sobbed.

The Lonely Robot
My name is Marvin. I am a robot. I do the cleaning and cooking for the scientist that made me. He works a lot in his basement or out in the garage. I read and write poetry. I like to make up stories and tell them to Daniel. Daniel is the robot I created. He is dressed in blue jeans- torn at the knees and sandals and wears a Tye dye shirt under a vest. He looks like a hippy transported out of the nineteen 60's. No political preference, just like the aesthetic.

Growling
It was a little after midnight and I was awakened by a terrible nightmare, about a monster ripping me to shreds and devouring the bits. My Mighty Dude night light was the only light in the room. Sweat drenched my face and pajamas. ''Oh thank goodness,'' I muttered. ''It was all just a nasty dream.''

The Creep
It was a typical Saturday afternoon for sixteen-year-old, Dana Lebowitz . She scrolled Netflix for an hour and called over her bestie, Jennifer Colrain. They went outside and played basketball. A neighbor watched them over his fence, well, not a neighbor, a man standing in a neighbor's yard. He had dark shaggy hair and red eyes. He had several teeth broken off at the gumline.

Desmond
It was Halloween night and Desmond, the black cat, walked the streets of his neighborhood. Jack o' lanterns illuminated his way as trick or treaters dashed door to door, saying they're mantra, ''trick or treat.'' There were clowns and baseball players, werewolves, witches and goblins. A brother and sister team, 9 and 12, followed behind a living ventriloquist dummy named Blank. He leered at the cat. ''What are you doing here, Desmond?'' Blank asked. ''I thought I got rid of you.''

The Witch's Rain
Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. The witch's yellow dress almost seemed to light up an otherwise dark night. The purple clouds burst open and sobbed God's tears. This was a world like ours simply by the fact it was inhabited by humans but it was ruled by a malevolent creature known as the Other, a flabby, tentacled creature, purple as the clouds hanging overhead.
