Let's Turn Crappy into Happy
Sometimes, when you are in a rut, doing something nice for someone else can help. It may sound funny, and you might ask yourself how helping someone else out helps you. Nevertheless, it does. You can start small. You can help a friend reorganize his or her garage. You can volunteer in the community. You could even find things in your house that you no longer need and donate them. It doesn't have to be something showy or large. It just needs to help other people.

Why is it so hard to say thank-you?
People do nice things for each other all of the time, but sometimes, the recipients of these good deeds fail to say thank-you or express any gratitude whatsoever. It is almost as if the act was expected instead of appreciated. Unfortunately, this happens a lot, and though the person that did the nice thing might not say anything when greeted with the lack of appreciation, he or she may begin to feel used or as if the other person doesn’t really respect him or her.

The Last Memory: Chapter 5
Chapter Five Trenton walked down the stairs, feeling the air cool down around her as she got to the bottom. The basement was dark and there was only one light bulb on the ceiling to brighten everything up. Trenton scouted the room for the dryer, finding it in the far corner of the room. She opened the door, pulled the clothes out, and set them on top of the dryer.

The Last Memory: Chapter Four
Chapter Four Trenton stretched and got out of bed. Though the shades were drawn, she could see the earliest rays of sunlight peeking through, and she didn't want to waste too much time in bed when she could be out looking for employment. Trenton looked around the room, trying to spot a clock that might give her some indication as to what time it was. However, the room was completely void of electronics.

The Last Memory: Chapters 1-2
Chapter One Trenton let the warmth of the fire relieve the chill from her hands and the quiet of the room around her fill her. The small cabin wasn't much. It only had three rooms and a small fireplace but it had been a good escape from the outside world for the last few months.
