Aurelia ran as fast as she could through the thick brush. If she didn’t slow she could get to the edge of the protected region and take her final leap to freedom - as well as her first step towards her revolution. Her ears were ringing in the same way the sun has a buzz about it on the hottest days. It was the elders doing, a weak attempt at emotional distraction. Physically it felt like she was running against the winds of a hurricane and none of it mattered. None of it was real. They couldn’t stop her from what she had her mind set to do, they could only disillusion her but her mind had never been more clear. Even the God’s have free will. She let out a thunderous laugh at the irony of it all.
