The abandoned prison
The abandoned prison stood at the edge of town like a silent witness to the horrors of a past nobody wanted to remember. Its walls, once painted a hopeful white, were now cracked, faded, and streaked with the grime of decades. Rusted iron bars, twisted and broken, clanged softly whenever the wind whispered through the empty corridors. I don’t know why I found myself drawn to this place, but there was something about it—a pull, almost magnetic—that demanded I see it with my own eyes.

I had just dropped off a rider when I got another ping — a longer ride, about 45 minutes, with a payout in the $20–$30 range. Pretty normal. The pickup location was a mix: a nice Japanese grill on one side of the street, and a rundown dispensary on the other.

Careful what you say at breakfast in a hotel...
When I was around 22 years old, I had a scary encounter while staying at a hotel for a job. Around 2010 I was working for a traveling photography group that took church directory photos. Each photographer drove separately from all over the place. So I was in Harlan, IA at the time. I was staying at a hotel along with other photographers who joined with me, I believe there was 4 of us (2 guys, a girl, and myself).

My landlord knew what items I had in my bedroom. I never met my landlord in person
When I was 18, I was desperate to find a place to stay for university. There is a massive housing shortage where I live so I went on Facebook to find a room. Eventually a man from Egypt Dmmed me saying that he has a private room available. He told me that he moved back to Egypt due to being ill and decided to rent out his 3 bedroom house. He had no profile picture or any info on his profile other than his name.

Wife has an affair with me for 3 years and fairly recent.
I’ve been married (M39)for 11 years to my wife (F35) who brought 2 daughters into this world during our marriage. Late 2019, she left her full time job so she could be a stay at home mom while I continued to work full time. In 2021, my wife was on her phone a lot due to doing online surveys and chatting with her friends online/phone calls. She was on her social media account and made a comment on a post I’ve made earlier in the day. One of my former high school friend made a response comment to her comment and she saw I was friends with him. Several weeks gone by and my former high school friend made a ‘friend request’ to her. Mind you, she doesn’t add people that doesn’t know. She asked me about my former classmate and how do I know him. I talked about him and she decided to add him. Fast forward to early 2022, They exchanged numbers and they kept chatting until end of 2024.

I received the first message three days ago. I was on my break at work, and I got a text notification. It was odd, it was from an unknown number. Normally I ignored those sorts of messages, spammers and the like usually showed up with those types of auto texts. But this one was different. It was so strange because no number showed up at all, just the message,
