Rachael put the box down and fished around in it until she came out with Clark's handgun, she then pulled back the hammer, aimed it at the raccoon and pulled the trigger-- the hammer came down with an irritatingly faint “click” when there should have a loud “bang”.

Tribulation Bay Chapter EIGHT
Clark was done with most everything he needed to do with the house, all of his mother's useless knickknacks and smaller pieces of furniture were taken to the thrift shop first thing, then it was back to load his personal stuff onto the pick-up, which included a dirt bike he got at the same time he got the used pickup. By 11:30 he had pulled away from the house for the last time, and was at the hospital morgue right at noon.

Lara Croft studied the map of the old cemetery under the light of the full moon. What she was looking for lay somewhere under her feet, somewhere under the 1000 graves was the key to opening the great tomb that lay halfway across the world on the southern tip of Australia. Despite the treasures she knew she could find; she never explored the cemeteries and tombs in this particular place for fear of what she might find; the living dead.
