10 Artists for Deep Thinkers
When it comes to music, I am all over the place. There is not one genre I stick to, and naming my favorite artist would be impossible. With that being said, I'd also say that my taste in music can be pretty unique compared to others' my age. Instead of finding myself obsessed with Post Malone, Arianna Grande, and Cardi B, like everyone I know, I listen to music with softer, sometimes deeper, feelings to them. I know there are others out there like me, who are looking for that "different" type of music, so I'd like to share some of my favorite artists who are also perfect for those people that like to feel and connect to the lyrics.

My Favourite Music Videos
"Somebody Else"—The 1975 How could I not put one of their videos in this list. They're so artistic, and aesthetically pleasing. And not to mention that their music videos are always kind of cryptic, and have hidden meanings and easter eggs. I think I had to watch this over 10 times before I got all the references to past songs and videos, and to basically understand what on earth was going on. They did well to make a statement with this video, as it sparked so much conversation online from fans expressing their love for the video, and the concept. I would not advise watching this without first going through their back catalogue of videos. But you should definitely do that.

10 Hottest Summer Songs of the 90s that Will Get You Off of Social Media, and into the Sunshine
Growing up in the 90s, I didn't really appreciate the dopest decade's music. For years, I maintained that I was more of an oldies/classic rock kinda gal, because that was real music. But as I’ve grown older, I’ve started to care less and less about what others think about my taste in music. I’ve willingly let the siren song of nostalgia seduce me, and now I’m not too proud to admit that I enjoy listening to some of the pop hits from my high school days, especially during the summer (I’d also like to point out that those hella wicked songs are all classics now).

Not so Quickie: Dark Throne's 'Old Star' Is Proof That Black Metal Lives Today
While I wait for my Angelmaker review to go up, I want to write something real fast about Darkthrone, one of the most well known black metal acts hailing from the genre's hometown of Norway. Despite being a two-piece group at this point, they have been writing some solid material. Arctic Thunder was probably my favorite record that came out in 2016. Because of the heavy metal with Darkthrone's riffing heard in their "middle-ages." Ever since the dawn of the 21st century, this group has begun to mix new bells and whistles to the traditional black metal sound, this one no different.

Life's for Living... The Best Songs to Show Us the Way
There are many songs that remind us that life is for living and that we only get one chance to walk this Earth and we need to make the most of that time. How we do that is different for everyone and what makes one person's soul dance will make another's blood boil. We have to figure out our own path and find what makes us tick as individuals. These are my favourite songs to remind me that what's important is that we always strive to make the most of the lives we are given, and the time we have.
