Richard Ashcroft 2018 - 20-Year Anniversary of Haigh Hall
The 20-year anniversary of The Verve’s home-coming gig at Haigh Hall in Wigan fell this year on 24 May. Back in 1998, lead vocalist Richard Ashcroft sang at the stately home’s largest ever event, a crowd of 33,000 mostly Wiganers, with the opening song "This is Music." The lyrics mention Billinge Hill where Ashcroft reminisces how he, “Stood at the top of a hill over my town.”

Harry Styles Shines in Toronto
It’s been less than a year since his last trip to Toronto but it was noticeable that the city and his fans have missed him dearly. Now a year older at 24, he’s embarked on the second leg of his tour, visiting more countries and cities from across the globe and playing larger venues than before.

Tupac Shakur
Tupac Shakur was undeniably one of the most controversial recording music artists and is now considered a hip-hop legend. Almost 22 years after his death, Tupac is still being remembered as being the best hip hop/gangster rap music artist since hip hop and gangster rap came on the scene in the late 80s. I grew up listening to Tupac and though some people think his song lyrics glorified violence, sex, and drugs, it was only his own feelings, struggles, and endurance that I came to realize he was writing down and signifying with his music. His music inspired a lot of minds to think of all the possibilities of life and the reality of life of his own people. Even though he was shot and killed so long ago he still lives in some of us through his music and it seems Tupac remains the most talked about and influencing rap artist.

Theory: '...Ready for It?'. Top Story - June 2018.
Many theories are going around about Taylor Swift’s new music video “…Ready For It?” It’s safe to say that Swift is keeping to the theme of herself versus her past, as shown in her music video “Look What You Made Me Do.” While many focus on the minor details of the “…Ready For It?” video, for example Swift’s dating life (like there’s nothing else interesting about her), I will focus on one thing: Taylor in the glass box. I have seen many theories where Taylor in the box is how the media sees her, but it goes even further than that. The glass box takes us through each era of Swift's career–Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989, and Reputation. Let’s take a closer look.

Artist to Watch: Shane
Waiting in line for our entry to Chicago's Subterranean, it was practically impossible not to turn to my group of friends and spit out the common cliche that accompanies the anticipation of a concert—"Do you remember the first time we saw the music video?"

Twice's Chaeyoung Dyes Hair Orange
According to an article on UK's MetroTwice member, Chaeyoung, has dyed her hair orange, is now wearing blunt bangs, and some fans are accusing the K-pop girl group member of copying BlackPink's Lisa. Lisa has adorned many different hair colors, sometimes multiple colors at once. It just so happens that orange hair is one of those colors.

SHINee's Back Again
Insert Minho's "SHINee's back again." In May 2008, SM Entertainment debuted a five-member group called SHINee. In 2010, after one of the most difficult years of my life, I reconnected with my best friend and she introduced me to these five men with "Ring Ding Dong" and their reality show Hello Baby. I fell in love. SHINee is the group that got me back into Korean entertainment. I've since moved to other groups, broadening my music (and fanbases), not enjoyed some of their releases, but I will always come back to SHINee.

Gary Barlow and Take That fans across the globe are currently in a frenzy over Gary’s solo tour. Visiting small theatres in cities that he’s never performed in before is proving to be a huge success with fans clambering for spare tickets for sale so they can go again and again and campaigning in their thousands on Twitter to be that one special lady who gets to go on stage each night with Gary and be serenaded with "A Million Love Songs."
