Last Week in K-Music
This is a little late this week, but it's here nonetheless! Here are some gems from last week in Korean music! Remember a few weeks ago when Teen Top had a comeback and I was over the moon excited? That's how I was when I received a YouTube notification of this gem. C.A.P is a slower rapper than a lot of rappers in the industry, but it really works for him. I always found it charming. This track allows his voice and talent to shine. The track is almost cosmic, soothing like looking at the night sky without light pollution. As a long-time fan, I'm definitely proud of how wonderful this song is.

This Week in K-Music
A lot of great music came out his week. One of my favorite lady rappers dropped a solo for the first time. This is the perfect time of year for artists to release music—summer is coming, everyone is building the perfect going-on-vacation playlist, looking for fresh sounds. I love this time of year for music!

'This Is America:' A Quick Analysis
Childish Gambino has broken the internet with his new single "This is America." Not only am I here to jump on the bandwagon and to stan for him, but I wanted to talk about the song, specifically. The music video is packed with figurative imagery that people just can't stop analyzing. However, the song has a lot of substance as well.

Underlining Message in "Open Water" by Thrice
“Open Water” was written by Dustin M. Kensrue, Edward C. Breckenridge, James R. Breckenridge, and Teppei Teranishi and was released in their fifth studio album known as the Alchemy Index Vol. I & II in October 2007 and April 2008. The Alchemy Index is a concept album with two discs containing six songs each. The first set of six songs in Vol. I would represent the classical element fire and the other six songs on Vol. II would represent the classical element of water. Of course the same concept applies to the Alchemy Index Vol. III and IV album disc set; Vol. III representing Air and Vol. IV representing Earth.

Bad Wolves: Zombie
On January 15, 2018 the world lost a beloved singer Dolores O’Riordan of the Cranberries. The Cranberries are most famously known for their chart-topping song "Zombie." "Zombie" was written about the trying times of violence in the UK and trying to make sense of the violence that surrounded the world at that time and times before then. Dolores wrote the song about two boys who were killed in the bombing in Warrington, England.
