LGBT songs that should be on your playlist for pride
As LGBT culture has thrived and grown, the media has made songs for the comfort and celebration of who you are. In celebration of pride month, I have some songs that you probably never heard and there is a need for you to listen to these songs because most of them are a staple in the history of the evolution and revolution of gay culture as well as the fact that they are catchy as hell.

The Kendrick Lamar Bracket
This was so hard. Something you can say about both this bracket and the instrumental for “The Blacker The Berry.” One of the things I hated most about this bracket, as is the issue with any bracket, is that some of the pairings, as inevitable as they might be, made for tougher decisions than I wanted. In selecting who would move on in my bracket, I tried to judge these songs as objectively as possible based on how they work within the album, how effective they communicate their message, how ear-grabbing the music is, and I only relied on subjectivity when deciding a dead heat. Here were some of the more difficult or, in some cases controversial, choices I made.

Instant disassembly
I've spent the better part of the last days trying to think of a concept for a playlist which is transversal. I didn’t want to exclusively share what I like and what I listen to, I wanted to offer an experience that we can all go through. No matter who you are, or what your music taste is, I want us to connect through this playlist.

April marks the 50th anniversary of when the Beatles broke up. Although the exact date is a little fuzzy, most people point to April 10 as the official day the biggest band in the world called it quits. An article written by Don Short titled, “Paul Quits the Beatles,” was printed on the front page of the Daily Mirror.

Song Review: The Weeknd 'Blinded by the Light' is an Aural Time Machine
I want to live inside the synth track on The Weeknd’s Blinding Lights. Growing up in the 80’s, I feel like I did grow up inside that synth track. The Weeknd has taken us all back in time to 1981, the founding of MTV and the ascension of new wave. It’s beautiful, man. Often I have wondered if it were possible to recreate an aesthetic in art perfectly and The Weeknd has done it.
