Calling All Mascara Lovers
Someone once asked me if I was stranded on an island and could only bring one thing, what would it be? Immediately, with no hesitation, I said mascara. Now, you're probably thinking, "This girl is absolutely ridiculous. Normal people would say water or a knife or something practical."

How to Last a Couple Extra Days in Between Shower Days
I've read several articles that claim that washing your hair with shampoo everyday dries out your scalp and hair. Some articles will tell you to shower about once a week, and others might say shower about twice a week. Really, I think it depends on how active you are—for example, if you workout every day, and what your skin type is (dry, oily, mixture). I am no dermatologist, so please take what I say with a grain of salt. This is my opinion and experiences I am sharing with you.

Natural Ways to Treat Acne
Acne itself is caused by pores becoming clogged with sebum, the oil that is created by your sebaceous glands. Once the pores are clogged it allows a bacteria called Propionibacterium acnes which your white blood cells attack, causing inflammation and acne. There are many different medications and treatments used in the treatment of acne. Here are six natural treatments I have tried and have worked.

The GLAUX CHEM Story
My experience in graduate school was quite eye-opening, and the knowledge I learned about chemicals led me to make significant lifestyle changes for the better. Within my second year of grad school, I became a vegetarian and started to be cautious about what synthetic chemicals were present in my food, skincare, and beauty products.

Elf Shadow & Liner Duo Stix Eyeliner Pencil Review
This is the E.L.F. (Eyes Lips Face) Shadow & Liner Duo Stix Eyeliner pencil; it comes double ended with matte eyeliner on one end and shimmer eyeliner on the other. It is a larger eye pencil than normal and is great for thicker lines than most other eyeliner sizes. The main difference between the matte and shimmer powders is that the shimmer has more of a sparkle effect with more glitter, while the matte is a flatter texture with less glitter.

No Poo!
A year ago, I quit shampoo. Why was I stripping my hair just to put moisture back in it? Why didn't I leave it alone in the first place? I know what you're thinking, GROSS. I thought so at first! Using conventional shampoos aren’t the only way to get your hair clean, and it shouldn’t be your first choice. There are several methods of no-poo: apple cider vinegar, baking soda, hot water, and more. These are the 3 methods that first come to mind when I think of no-poo, but I have heard of more.

Body Enhancement
Body ornamentation and modification is older than humankind. We were not the first to use it. So far, Neanderthals are the first that we know of. They used shell beads and feathers for self-decoration. When this may have started is controversial, but Neanderthals were around for at least 400,000 years. These discoveries carry very strong implications. One must have the consciousness of self. There is no need to enhance oneself unless you are self-conscious. Having an inward view is one of those prerequisites for being human, but Neanderthal had it. Early body enhancement was most likely used to differentiate among people. The more extensive reserved for the head of the group, certain marks to delineate a pair-bonded female, a little something for the healer and so on. Once body decoration began, it never stopped. You would be hard put to find a person today who does not wear make-up, has pierced ears, wears an attractive watch, has facial hair, or some form of decoration.
