Why You Can't Learn From Beauty Influencers
Aren’t those Instagram, TikTok and YouTube makeup tutorials cute?! We love seeing the transformation like in a blink of an eye and how a fast, basic edit turns the basic (or not so basic) girls into unrecognizable divas with enormous products on their face? Yeah, they are like little magic pills we can swallow endlessly in long subway rides or before going to bed, trying to detect conspiracies: Are they Photoshopped? Are these two different people? Is it a filter or her skin really looks like this? Did she overdraw her lip or she had fillers to start with?

Monster Face
I have always been, as most would consider, good looking. Some would even go as far as to say, above average. (On a good day that is.) However, like others, I have a guilty pleasure, a vice, if you will. Sometimes, if my days been long, or I find myself with a little to much free time, I start really looking at those "giant pores" on my face, that seem to become exceptionally pronounced once I begin to notice them. So, on a night that is no different from any other work night weekday evening, I pull out my handheld mirror and start looking for any acne blemishes that will fall privy to my trap of misfortune, and of course, "picking." This night in particular, the pores in the area below my eyes, considerably, my inner cheekbones, looked unusually big to me. I didn't necessarily see my usual, whiteheads, blackheads, things of that nature, so I began the ritual, typically saved for my blemishes, on these extraordinarily large pores. I had no other choice. If I did not get out all the gunk that was undoubtedly clogging them, everyone at work would notice first thing when I showed up for work the next day. I was a recepetionist at a Dermatologists office for crying out loud, I had to look my best, this was necessary, I decided. Well, after an hour, and no success at removing ANYTHING from these little, but to me "ginormous" pores, I retired to my bed to watch a little reality T.V. until blissfully falling asleep. I had no idea the horror that awaited me that next day.

Botox or Juvederm: Which one is best for me?
Botox or Juvederm: Which one is best for me? Juvederm and Botox are two of today's best known cosmetic injectables. However, while they do go hand in hand in many cases, a lot of people confuse the two, even though they are very different treatments that each serve their own unique purpose.

Although cosmetic surgery has been around for many decades, it has not always received the greatest reputation. Unfortunately, many of the cosmetic procedures available to the public still have botched outcomes. This is usually due to untrained professionals or outdated surgical techniques that have since been replaced by more advanced technology.

I’m 25 and I get Botox Injections - Here’s Why
Growing up, I never really had a whole lot of issues with my skin. I didn’t have the common acne breakouts that a lot of teenagers get, and I didn’t have hard to deal with oily or excessively dry skin. I did, however, spend a lot of time in the sun without sunscreen in hopes of getting a nice tan, and spent a lot of sleepless nights partying until the sun came up. While I am still guilty of both those things from time to time, my skin care has grown to become significantly more advanced, given that I have taken the time to explore different skin care routines and the best possible ways to maintain my youthful appearance, which wasn’t really something I was worried about as a 19 year old. My skin care routine isn’t particularly extensive or involved, and mostly just consists of quality creams, SPF and sun protection (always), as well as a few medical grade facial treatments and, of course, Botox.

I Went One Month With No Makeup, and This Is What Happened
I’ve never been passionate about makeup, especially compared to a lot of women on social media. Don’t get me wrong, they look absolutely stunning and I know that perfecting your makeup look to that extent takes a lot of time, practice, and patience. Unfortunately, I lack all three of those things, which is why I usually stick to my basic 10 - 20 minute makeup routine consisting of a gentle cream, a primer, foundation, concealer, contour, eyeshadow, eye liner, mascara, and maybe some highlight and blush to finish it off. While I am not particularly passionate about switching up my makeup looks, I have been using makeup since I was about 13 years old, and even I know that the products I use now and the way that I apply my makeup, absolutely work in my favor compared to whatever I thought I was accomplishing at 13. I’ve read a lot of stories about how people stopped wearing makeup for 1 - 2 weeks, which changed the way they feel about themselves and boosted their confidence. I decided to do the same, to see how I would feel without it. Here’s how it went.

3 Reasons Why SPF is the Holy Grail of Perfecting Your Skin
Whoever made up the phrase "Black Don't Crack" wasn't telling the whole truth. In fact, Black, Brown and White and any other color will crack if SPF isn't part of a skincare regimen.
