A Thoughtpiece

Watching a field of dandelions, swaying in the spring breeze. See the bees and butterflies, pollinating and feeding before returning to their homes with their stolen pollen.
A golden vision of yellow flowers, going on as far as the stream, a place to enjoy solitude and take time for yourself alone.
Like tiny suns, they light up the scene as Helios passes overhead, with white clouds in the blue sky.
The breeze traces paths through the dandelion, and mice run through them looking for food, but the whole scene makes you want to sit down and enjoy the sun and the cool breeze as the stream slows from down the hill til it empties into the bay.
So you sit back and take in the beauty of the scene as you drift into a deep summer sleep ......

What a vivid and peaceful imagery of a field of dandelions!
Such warmth in this one, Mike <3
I love the fact that, as much as we grouse about the dandelions growing in our yards, they aren't even indigenous to this continent. Early settlers brought them along as they are highly nutritious & near impossible to kill. And how many bouquets did each of us pick for our mothers?
