Small head, big eyes
I love comics and laugh every time I read them, but today's comics don't make me laugh at anything, and instead make me risk brooding. The cartoon was created by Mr. Hua, a famous cartoonist, in January 1984. The cartoon shows a warning sign with five bullet holes that reads "Mother and child aboard." Next to the warning sign is a walkway surrounded by railings. There were not children or women standing in the aisle, but four grown men. They stood inside, casually waiting for the bus. A mother, holding a child, stood at the railing and looked quizzically at the four people standing on the railing. Because of cowardice, she did not reason with them about her special rights, but silently stared at the four men, hoping that they would understand something and give her a seat. But the four men made no room for the woman. Can't they read? No! They are not illiterate, but do not know how to be civilized and moral people. They are not only illiterate, but also blind to civilization and morality. In fact, such examples are not rare in our life. Even on our campus, examples like this happen. We also made little warning signs to warn them, but they didn't agree. For their own benefit and to save time, they destroy the public facilities of our campus. And you say they can't read? They are students! Highly educated students! Are there so many "illiterates" around us? Even the peasants who have not received cultural education know how to speak civilization and morality. Besides, they are citizens living in civilized cities! Why are they so ignorant? They do not lack cultural knowledge, what they lack is civilized habits, which is the basic moral concept. Don't lose heart
After the summer vacation this year, I will be the graduates of Grade Three. On the one hand, I am happy to be promoted to a higher grade. But for Don Garber and MLS, the US Open Cup represents an eye sore, a blemish on the product (MLS) they are trying to cultivate and portray to the world and local viewers.
