Taboo
The Gauntlet With My Son
The Gauntlet With My Son, The Sociopath I have 2 sons with my ex-husband. I have two stepchildren with my current husband. I enjoy great relationships with these children, and they all bring me a great deal of happiness. My life is better because they are in my life. Then I have my first child …the spawn from hell…. The child I had at age 21 when I was not married, when I was on my own…the child I tried desperately to keep until I realized there was no feasible way for me to support this child without going on welfare…an option I would not consider having been a welfare child myself…and so I gave him up for adoption after carefully screening several families. He was given to the new family at 3 days old.

Connecting the dots
There are 208 bones in an adult human's body and 360 joints connecting them. Some days it feels like each and every single one of them hurt. It has been a very long time since I didn't think about them constantly. Having a connective tissue autoimmune disorder is exhausting. But let me tell you about that last time so long ago...

I Was His Mistress & My Only Regret Was Breaking His Ex-Wife's Heart
If you told me my future husband would sit beside his wife as someone introduced us - yes, I said wife, not ex-wife - I would have said you were crazy. I would never try to come between a husband and wife. My Mama raised me better than that… didn't she?

life as a chocolate cake
Have you ever met a word that sounds similar in some many languages, or at least in the languages that use Latin alphabet? For example, I can just easily read the following: Danish - chokolade, Dutch - chocolade, English - chocolate, French - chocolat, German - schokolade, Greek - σοκολάτα, Italian - cioccolata, Romanian-ciocolata. Sorry, I made an honest mistake, Greek doesn't quite use the Latin alphabet, but from what I can decipher, it sounds in free translation like: sokolata. I admit Greeks have a very fancy way of writing letters.

What Does Asexuality Feel Like?
If you've been around the block once or twice you’ve almost certainly heard the term “Asexual” thrown around here and there. Maybe you know what it means for someone to be Asexual, or maybe you don’t; either way, I’m going to tell you about it. Now, before we get started, I need to clarify that everything I’m about to say is MY personal experience. I do not speak for every Asexual, I’ve met many others and although some agree with a lot of what I’m about to say, others don’t and have very different experiences. Asexuality is a spectrum, and like every sexuality, extremely varied in how it presents in individuals.

You're welcome!?
I have a new friend. I’m not sure if I like her. She shows up when she feels like and she affects the way I behave in the world, the way I feel, and how I act with others. She wears a pink skirt and combat boots. You’d think with the pink skirt that she’d be nice, but those damn combat boots give her so much attitude. I don’t know if she is a friend or foe, but what I know for sure is that she is not going anywhere. She’s made that abundantly clear.

Somebody Else's Pregnancy Test
I was always the type of child who felt compelled to rigidly follow the rules. I did not lie. I did not cheat. I became incredibly stressed out if I looked over my mom’s shoulder while she drove and saw that she was going a few miles above the speed limit. I had exceedingly strict parents, and was given extreme punishments, even for suspected infractions which never occurred anywhere outside of my mother’s mind.

I found lower than low...
... I saw her in the park just through the forest at the edge of my new property. My family had moved us into a new home, miles from our own, onto 2 and half acres of land that had quite a big garage. Teenage me was doing recon. "Nice shed. My parents will never use it, it could be a fun hang out spot… for the friends I don't have yet... " I started walking out of the forest that was half of my yard, put roller blades on and skated towards a small group of other teenage girls in the park.

A (very) Bruised Ego
Everything I imagined it to be was not how it was I thought of connecting with others, sharing stories and holding hands in a circle. I imagined a bright white light shooting out of my third eye while I floated out of my body, attaining enlightenment like the Buddha.

Katarzyna
Katarzyna This is one of my recent names. In my life I have used and still use many others. My brother called me Ynia. It was because once in our childhood I told him I was going to name my daughter in an unusual way. For example, I said I would give her a name starting with letter Y. In Polish, not a single word starts with this letter. I chose the name Ynia.
