The Many Benefits of Guava and Their Leaves
The Many Benefits Of Guava And Their Leaves Guava is a tropical fruit native to South America, but also found in abundance in Central America, Mexico, and The Caribbean. Through the years, India has become the largest producer of guava fruit. Guavas are packed with delicious flavor as well as many healthy nutrients. They are rich in vitamin C, potassium, and fiber. Just one guava contains twice the amount of vitamin C your body needs daily and four times as much vitamin C found in oranges. Guava also contains the same amount of potassium as a banana. They are great immunity boosters and have anti-inflammatory properties. Guava is considered a super-fruit because of all the amazing ways it can benefit your health and skin. Perhaps, the only thing more wonderful than the fruit itself, are the leaves of guava trees. Incorporate the powerful nutrients of guava leaves or the delicious fruit into your life and experience clear skin, healthy hair, and a strong immune system! There are so many benefits of guava leaves that they simply must be discussed in further detail. Let's get started!

Healthy Snacks for Students
There's nothing that will keep your students happier than a "midday" pick-me-up, such as a healthy snack. However, many meals, such as protein bars or veggie chips that people think are "healthy" are still packed with excessive calories and sugar.

The 3 Best Fulfilling Salads
One of the most common healthy options on the menu is the salad. Oh the salad, the option we used to scrunch our faces at when we were kids. Yes those were the days when we actually looked at the food instead of the calorie amount. Salads are probably one of the most popular meals in January when everyone is making their New Year's resolutions. Sure salads are healthy, but most times when we get salads, we’re not getting the most nutritious value out of our Caesar’s and Kale. Instead, we’re given a plate that is 95% lettuce with little bits of chicken sprinkled on top, and this leaves us not satisfied and at risk of eating more. Salads may be the least desired meal to some, but those people don’t know that there are several places that offer fulfilling salads. These are healthy, and most importantly they won’t leave you staring at your friend’s burritos; some of them even look like the salads you see when you look up the word salad. These healthy salads are protein packed and aren't just filled with lettuce. Whether you're staring a new high protein diet or just simply in need of a healthier lifestyle, these meals are for you. This list can also serve as healthier options from your favorite restaurants. As someone who is always looking for the meal with the lowest calories when I go out, I hate having to take a long time to look at the menu, so I hope this is very helpful. When making this small list of salads, I decided to exclude the salads from places who make those as their specialty like Sweetgreen or Salad bar. Those salads are probably amazing, but these are more affordable and more for the average person. If you're rich, I do recommend you stop reading this and just go to Sweetgreen, which always has the best advertisements.

Healthy Snack Ideas to Help You Lose or Maintain an Ideal Weight
Most people find themselves needing to eat in between meals to make it through the day. Yet, with minimal time, we often find ourselves reaching for something quick that offers very little nutritional value to our diet. Next time you find yourself feeling starved, consider opting for a snack that will not only curb your appetite, but leave you feeling good as well. For instance, consider finding a healthy banana bread recipe, so you can enjoy your snack for multiple days. There are many different recipes, and you would be amazed how a vegan banana bread is very similar to the traditional banana bread in reference to taste. The only difference between the two is the vegan version is not loaded with eggs, milk, or butter.

Food and Mood Go Hand in Hand
Your body is always working hard around the clock. Every breath, every thought, every beat of your heart is being managed by your body and brain. In order to keep going, your body and brain need energy, and the quality of the energy that you put into your body matters. Every bite that you take affects your mood. In order to experience high quality moods, you need to give your body high quality food. There’s a neurotransmitter called serotonin in your brain that controls your mood. When food travels through your digestive system, nutrients are absorbed, and those nutrients improve your overall wellbeing. The more nutrients you get, the better you feel; which is why it’s a great idea to eat healthy nutrient packed foods. Foods aren’t always enough, so vitamins can fill the gaps. Let’s discuss which foods and vitamins are good for feeling great!

Healthier Food Alternatives
As we get older, we put more and more foods back on the shelfs after reading the nutrition facts. Some of us may be lucky and have metabolisms like Usain Bolt, but the rest of us watch what we eat more than TV. Over the years, being healthy has actually grown more popular; and therefore, food companies have taken advantage of this and added light and low fat to make you feel better. I hate to be the one to break it to you, but low fat means more preservatives and added sugars. Moreover, what I’m trying to say is, with so many different diets and foods, it's hard to know what’s healthy and what’s the opposite. Over the past year, I’ve cleaned up my eating; and with that, one of the big things that helped me was switching out my foods with healthier options. I am nowhere near an expert on nutrition facts, and these are just recommendations if you want to follow them. That is up to you. Later on I will do a sequel to this article about the healthiest places to eat when going out.
