A New Cape
"Thwip!” I yelled, shooting a web at my sister while dodging her glowing lasso. Being on our trampoline made dodging her attacks much easier and plus made me look a lot more like Spiderman. Using another web to swing around her, I had a clear shot and fired. “Thwip!” Looking up, there lie my enemy, subdued by the sticky net. I was victorious!

5 Reasons to Watch 'The Gifted' on FOX
Firstly, I'd like to give a brief explanation on what FOX's new show The Gifted is really all about. The series mainly focuses on the Struckers, your average, well-off, generically nuclear family. After certain events unfold within the first episode (I won't spoil anything), the parents discover that their children are mutants. Within this world, much like with any other X-title, mutants are feared and hated, so it's not a big surprise when the authorities begin their pursuit of the children for being "Dangerous Mutants." The parents, Reed (Stephen Moyer) and Kate (Amy Acker) decide that family is the most important thing and decide to flee the authorities to keep their children, Lauren (Natalie Alyn Lind) and Andy (Percy Hynes White), safe. The main antagonists of the series are the agents from "Sentinel Services" (If you think that word sounds familiar, you'd be right, "Sentinels" are those are the giant mechanized monstrosities known for claiming hundreds of mutant lives within the comics, movies, and television adaptations).

'The New Mutants: Trailer 1': A Fanboy Reacts
So, this is another section in my little Fanboy thing I've got going on where I react to the most recent trailers for upcoming films that excite. Yes, they will tend to be comic-book based, but I'm a nerd, and these are the things that interest me. These will just be quick, first impressions from watching the trailers, with my immediate reactions and maybe some deeper musings if I notice anything.

Marvel Superheroes That Could Theoretically Exist
Superheroes are fictional characters... There, I said it. Sorry to rain on your parade, but superheroes who possess certain abilities and powers can't actually be real. If you think so otherwise, then let me know how a human can obtain the same powers as the Hulk or Thor. I didn't think so either.

5 Reasons Marvel Has Done Better on Screen Than DC
Marvel and DC are the top two when it comes to recognizable superhero names. So why has one had virtually all the luck on the big screen while the other struggles to find footing amongst the fans? There are some very good reasons and probably a few people wont agree with.

Why Characters Need to Fail
The shame I feel at calling myself a comic book fan right now is sad on many levels. For too long, I have watched the comic book community deteriorate from the sidelines and I have decided to finally throw my opinion out into the void for whoever wishes to hear it.

Marvel Supervillains Alphabet
As you might know, the Marvel universe is one that I definitely love to explore — most often via comic books and old school 90s cartoons. We all know the superheroes in Marvel comics, as well as most of the mainstream bad guys featured in major comic lines.

Long-Lost Heroes and Titles Return in Marvel's December 2017 Solicitations
December is usually a time for friends and family to come together drink hot chocolate and celebrate the holiday season. However, the House of Ideas’ greatest characters will be celebrating the holidays by welcoming back long-lost heroes and titles as 2017 comes to a close. GEEKS has the inside scope on the storylines that True Believers should keep an eye and perhaps request these stories for their stocking stuffers.
