If you have ever bought a pair of Dr Martens shoes (or boots) you know where this comparison is going. Both invoke this sense of carelessness and hipness, that is at the same time trendy and above any trend. Timeless classics with characteristics easily identifiable and that have carved their place in Pop culture and the common conscience. Not to mention that either invoke a certain type of edginess that is both too mature for its own good but equally young and youthful, a bit like punk or rock movements.

My Top 5 Geeky Shirts
Wearing geeky shirts are a way to express who I am. In my early 20s, I started to wear them and by the time I turned 30, I had over two dozen shirts. Many people ask me why I wear them and the reasons are obvious: they fit and I love them. I plan to continue wearing geeky shirts forever. On social media, I use #geekyshirtfriday to post which shirt I'll be wearing every Friday. One week it would be a Nintendo shirt and the following week, it would be a Power Rangers shirt. It all depends on the type of mood I'm in. I'm going to share my five best geeky shirts. Hope you enjoy this wonderful list.

What sounds like a gritty HBO's True Detective Season 3 is in fact 1997's Con Air. Just two years after America started the Justice Prisoner and Alien Transportation System, Simon West's film about an aircraft full of convicted criminals is almost unrivalled in its brilliance as a '90s action flick. Alongside the likes of Cliffhanger, True Lies, and of course Cage's stint in Face/Off, Con Air is smothered in a generous helping of Blockbuster Video cheese.

The Best Ways to Introduce Kids to Superheroes
One of my absolute favorite things about being a parent is sharing the things I love the most with my kids. A perfect example was getting to hear my kids gasp in shock when Darth Vader reveals that big family secret to Luke in The Empire Strikes Back. Nothing like the magic of re-experiencing the best science fiction, fantasy, and comics with someone who’s seeing or reading it for the first time. Case in point: superheroes. I love hearing my six-year-old geek out about what Spider-Man would do in a given situation, so I’m definitely planning on fanning the flame of fandom with some comic books to keep the superhero love going.
